ABOUT US

I started off as a woman that just enjoyed decorating for the holidays.  When my daughter Destinie started school I would decorate the front yard for the Halloween parade that the elementary school would have on Halloween, basically this would just be the children walking around the block in their costumes.

I would decorate the front lawn also for Christmas and I just loved to see people pulling up in front of the house to look at the decorations.  Last year I decided that I wanted to do a bit more.  I have a double lot and wanted to decorate the backyard also,  I enlisted the help of my family my daughter, my boyfriend and my niece and nephew and we went to work, after we opened the beginning of December in 2016 we realized that it was just a total flop there was no one coming to see the display including people we knew there was maybe a total of 10 people for the whole season.  We then tore it all down on December 26, 2016

2017 brought a new year and new hopes of my dreams.  We went to garage sales and thrift stores and bought as many decorations as we could.  We began plans for a new design just before Halloween and began working on decorations that needed a fresh coat of paint and changing out strands of lights.  I was determined to open the day after Thanksgiving.  I posted in a group on Facebook that I was looking for a Santa and someone suggested Santa Kringle.  I am ever so thankful that we met this Santa!  The niece and nephew that helped last year are now currently on their way to being my granddaughter and grandson, as my daughter Destinie is working on adopting them.

We started off on such a good foot that my family and I discussed how we could turn this into something helpful.  We decided on having a Christmas day dinner for those in the community that were in need.  We received unbelievable support from people attending the light show and from a few businesses and our fire department.  On Christmas day we shared our day with 11 families that were once strangers and on that day became family.
